Signs of fall

Even though it doesn't feel like it with the heat we still have in Las Vegas, but it's officially fall. Kailey has started 2nd grade, and is loving it. Her teacher is keeping her busy with all kinds of homework. Part of it includes reading for 15 min every night. Knowing Kailey though, this is not a problem. It is probably one of her favorite things to do (unlike her dad).

Dillon is getting use to the fact that he doesn't have to share with anyone while Kailey is at school. I think he misses her sometimes when there isn't much to do around the house. He has started going to a little "preschool" that Kari and some of the other sisters in the ward are doing. Once a week about 6 kids get together and learn various things. Dillon is very excited that he gets to go to school too, just like his older sister. To seal the deal we even got him a backpack of his very own. Probably the most exciting thing for his parents is that he's FINALLY potty trained.

Kaisee took her first steps!! She's still getting use to the fact that she doesn't need someone to be holding her to walk around. She's only up about 7 steps so far, but it's progress. Right now she seems to be our mellow one. Doesn't matter where we are, she's just happy to be along for the ride.
